Kemp “Swami” Charles Nash, Jr. 82 passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 22, 1941, in Sumter, SC, a son of the late Kemp Charles Nash and Beulah Snyder Nash. Swami moved to Myrtle Beach in 1973, and opened Coastal Carolina Properties which became Century 21 in 1978, where he was involved in his community. He was a member of Ocean View Baptist Church where he was a member of the men of the cross group. He was an avid Gamecock fan graduating from the of the University of S.C. in 1964, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and played on the tennis team. He served his country in the S.C. Air National Guards.
He is survived by his wife, Nina Brown Nash, two sons, Kemp C. Nash III and wife Tonya, Kyle C. Nash and wife Michelle, his brother, Ralph F. Nash, sister, Martha Gooding and grandchildren Haley and Noah Nash.
He was pre-deceased by a son, Michael B. Nash, in 1993.
The Nash family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, April 8, 2024, at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11: AM Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Ocean View Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach.
A graveside committal service will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Piedmont Cemetery in Bishopville, SC.
