Katherine D. (Linder) Linder

Katherine 'Kathy' Dawn Linder, age 67, of Myrtle Beach, passed away peacefully at home Thursday February 12, 2026. She was born on August 24, 1958 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Kathy had a deep passion for animals, leading her to getting a Masters degree in Microbiology from UNC Charlotte. Which she later used to care for animals at a Veterinary hospital. Throughout her life she rescued and cared for many animals. One of Kathy's favorite memories and something she did for most of her life was riding horses, she often talked about her rides and the happiness it brought her. She had a generous and caring heart. She went above and beyond for everyone she cared for, always making sure they were taken care of. Later in life Kathy took on running the families hotel The Roxanne Towers and managing properties along the grand strand.

She is survived by her father Charles Linder; Son Donald Burton III and daughter in law Blair Burton; Grandchildren Reece Burton and Raya Burton; sister Carol Linder; nephew Trey Linder and cousin Rick McArn and Viola McArn.

Kathy was predeceased by her Mother Patricia Linder, brother Danny Linder and nephew Dalton Linder. Her family was the center of her life and being a Mother and grandmother brought her the greatest joy.

Kathy poured so much into her family, she was always the planner of events. She was the absolute best grandmother to her grandchildren, always finding ways to make grandma's house fun and creating memories her grandchildren will carry with them forever. Kathy will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and many acquaintances she met throughout her life. 

An intimate service for immediate family will be held Monday February 16th at 2:00pm. It will be held at McMillan-Small Funeral Home and Crematory, 910 67th Ave N in Myrtle Beach SC.
