Ava G. Holland

Ava Grace Holland, age 15, of Myrtle Beach, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital following a tragic car accident.

​Born on March 5, 2010, Ava was the cherished daughter of David and Angela Holland. A gifted student with a drive for excellence, Ava was a 5.0 student at the Atlantic Collegiate Academy, where she was also enrolled at Horry Georgetown Technical College. Her academic achievements were numerous; she was recognized as a South Carolina Junior Scholar, a member of the Beta Club, and was on the President’s List at HGTC.

​Beyond the classroom, Ava was an excellent athlete. She chose volleyball as her sport and was a member of the varsity volleyball team at Atlantic Collegiate Academy. She also played for the Grand Strand Juniors travel club on the Coast team.

​To know Ava was to love her. She was the embodiment of selflessness and compassion, always ensuring that those around her felt included and valued. Her silly, funny nature brought light to every room, and her "heart of gold" left an indelible mark on her friends, teammates, and community. In keeping with her selfless spirit, Ava was an organ donor; even in her passing, her generosity continues to give the gift of life to others.

​Ava's memory will be forever treasured by her loving parents, David and Angela, and her brothers Ryan and Aiden. She is survived by Maternal Grandparents Bobby and Suzie Moore, Godparents David and Patricia Livingstone, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
​Ava was preceded in death by her Maternal grandfather Robert Palermini, and her paternal grandmother, Mildred Crowley.

​A Celebration of Life will be held in Ava's Honor on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at The Hangout, located at 1181 Celebrity Circle, Broadway at the Beach, Myrtle Beach, SC.

​Arrangements are under the care of McMillan-Small Funeral Home and Crematory.
